Why are we here?What's broken and problematic? Summarize your situation with everything relevant as well as you can so I can get a good enough picture even before we talk. What symptoms do you have? Since when? How are they bothering you? I'd like to know everything troublesome related to the issue at hand. Pain and other physical symptoms, where and when does what feel like what, depressive symptoms and other mental illness or symptoms, feelings of overwhelming stress, self-esteem, intolerance to stress and pressure, lack of energy, trouble sleeping, food-related troubles, and anything else you might think of.A wide picture – but keep it relevant, of course.

What have you tried before and do you have any plan if I don't get involved?

What's the cost of not fixing the problem? What's the price you pay today in:Time spent in this far-from-optimal state? How much time does the issue at hand steal from you in everyday life? For how long have you been going like this, and how long will it take to get well with the plan you've got today?Feelings might generally be what makes life worth living – but does it feel like they are today? Is life worthwhile like this, or do the negative emotions far outweigh the positive ones?Energy and freedom – what CAN'T you do anymore because of the situation? What actions, hobbies, energy-demanding tasks, or attributes have the malady robbed you of? What would you like to get back to doing that you COULD do before this started?Pure loss of income?

What's would be the goal if we'd start a project? The projects I work with have a concrete goal setting, and they're done as projects. Not short visits here and there, since that gives worse results. We probably do want results if we work together. I sure know I do. When I look at situations and analyze them to see if I can help someone, I map out where we are and where we'd like to go. Is it possible and likely that we'll be able to achieve that? Can I really help you get there? Neither you nor I would like to start something where we can't accomplish the goal. We might, of course, find a goal to strive for where it's not likely to be achieved within the project time, but it's highly possible to learn all the skills necessary to achieve the goal afterward. Battling long-term stress and pain might be such cases. Some things simply won't vanish in twelve weeks, regardless of what intervention is done. It'll require time. It IS common to achieve a lot of change in that time. Then you're supposed to keep making progress afterward.

What is your main motivation for getting there?How would things be different for you or those around you if this got fixed? This is more of an open question. The one before is more binary and square. It's not rare that more bothersome cases impact practically ALL aspects of life. Do you have kids? A spouse or family you "should be able to" take care of? Work? Ambitions? Dreams?Rant freely, I'm curious.

Do you really have the interest to invest in yourself? How much is it worth to achieve your goals?
